Swap out your morning coffee with matcha latte for an antioxidant boost.

Matcha is essentially a very concentrated form of green tea. The way it’s grown and consumed means that it’s packed full of essential vitamins and minerals. Its anti-inflammatory properties help reduce inflammation and helps protect the skin of free radicals that accelerate skin aging. If you haven’t had the privilege of trying out matcha tea yet, try our take on it with this recipe below.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 1 mug of brown rice milk (or almond, soy or cow’s milk)
  2. ½ teaspoon of matcha powder

 

METHOD

  1. Bring 3/4 cup unsweetened rice milk, to a bare simmer in a small pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Place 1 teaspoon matcha powder in a cup. Slowly whisk in 1/4 cup boiling water, then add the heated rice milk. Sweeten with honey (optional).

 

Note: You can also use a small kitchen whisk if you don’t have a matcha whisk
